This is a testament of the value that Marieme’s extensive expertise and knowledge brings within the African banking & trade sectors. Marieme will continue to remain in the full-time position of Axendo MD of Africa, however her contribution to Kwely represents the growing significance of creating a knowledge-sharing culture in West Africa and promoting the growth of local African business.
Kwely is an independent Africa-based B2B marketplace connecting African producers and suppliers with global consumers and international buyers. WIC Capital is an investment fund dedicated to women-led businesses in West Africa and an investor in the business.
Marieme Niang joined Axendo in 2016 following a 15-year career in banking including 10 years with Standard Chartered Bank across Africa, UAE and Singapore. She holds an MBA from London Business School.
