Last week Camilla d’Abo joined the delegation of a high level Trade Mission to Conakry, organised by UK Export Finance.
During the two-day mission, meetings were held with several government officials and ministers including His Excellency Dr Morissanda Kouyate, Guinea Minister of Foreign Affairs, and Her Excellency Rose Pola Pricemou, Minister of Planning and International Cooperation to discuss the country’s development plans . Meetings were also held with His Excellency Aly Diallo, the Guinea Ambassador to the UK, and John Marshall the UK Ambassador to Guinea.
At Axendo we foresee increasing opportunities for public and private partnerships due to the growing global demand for minerals and government economic diversification into agriculture and manufacturing, and look forward to supporting Guinea to reach its full potential. Guinea is a leading exporter of bauxite and holds the mineral’s largest – and arguably best quality – reserve in the world as well as exports in gold, iron ore and precious stones such as diamonds. Boosted by high demand for its metals exports, Guinea’s economy has an extremely positive outlook. International relations are improving and the transitional government has proven stable and adept at policy-making and economic management.
Thanks to DMA Invest, Simon Tonge, the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office and Steven Gray for their participation and for organising such a valuable event.
